Ingentia Energies MD/CEO Pays Courtesy Visits to Abua/Odual LGA Chairman and Traditional Rulers Ahead of PML 66 HCDT Inauguration

As part of activities leading to the inauguration of the PML 66 Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT) Board of Trustees, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Ingentia Energies Limited (IEL), Engr. Charles Odita, paid a series of courtesy visits to key government and traditional stakeholders in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State on Wednesday, 22 July 2026.
The engagements underscored IEL's commitment to fostering strong stakeholder relationships, promoting mutual understanding, and sustaining a peaceful and collaborative operating environment across its PML 66 host communities.
The MD/CEO commenced the visit with a courtesy call on the Chairman of Abua/Odual Local Government Area, Engr. Owalabi Ofori. During the meeting, Engr. Odita reaffirmed the Company's commitment to maintaining constructive partnerships with the Local Government and host communities. He highlighted the forthcoming inauguration of the PML 66 HCDT Board of Trustees as a significant milestone in advancing community-driven development in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), 2021.
Engr. Ofori commended Ingentia Energies for its proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and encouraged the Company to sustain its collaborative efforts in promoting peace, economic growth, and sustainable development within the Local Government Area.
The delegation thereafter proceeded to Omelema Community, where the MD/CEO paid a courtesy visit to the Traditional Ruler, Chief Imeerani G. I. Mopho. Discussions centred on strengthening the existing relationship between the Company and the community through continuous dialogue, mutual respect, and enhanced community participation as IEL advances its operations within PML 66.
The final engagement took place in Egbolom Community, where Engr. Odita and his delegation were received by the Traditional Ruler, Chief Kenoye O. Roberts. Deliberations focused on sustaining peaceful coexistence, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, expanding opportunities for local participation, and delivering long-term community development initiatives.
The traditional rulers expressed appreciation for the courtesy visits and reaffirmed their support for Ingentia Energies' operations. They emphasised the importance of continuous engagement, timely consultation on community matters, employment and contracting opportunities for qualified community members, and the implementation of impactful social investment initiatives.
Speaking during the engagements, Engr. Odita reiterated that Ingentia Energies remains firmly committed to local content development, operational excellence, health and safety, environmental stewardship, transparency, and responsible business practices. He noted that the Company regards its host communities as valued strategic partners whose cooperation is essential to the sustainable development and success of PML 66.
The courtesy visits provided an important platform for strengthening relationships with key stakeholders ahead of the formal inauguration of the PML 66 Host Communities Development Trust Board of Trustees scheduled for 23 July 2026.
