On March 10, 2026, Ingentia Energies Limited hosted a grand send-forth dinner in honour of its former Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Olajumoke Ajayi, celebrating a remarkable leadership tenure that laid the foundation for the company’s growth and success.
The event brought together members of the Board, management, staff, industry partners, and associates to recognize Mrs. Ajayi’s outstanding contributions and transformational leadership. The evening featured heartfelt tributes, reflections on major milestones achieved under her stewardship, and expressions of gratitude for the legacy she leaves behind.
Mrs. Ajayi joined Ingentia Energies in 2022 when the company existed primarily as a vision. Leveraging her extensive industry experience, she quickly transformed that vision into reality through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to results.
One of her most significant achievements was leading the successful re-entry of the long-abandoned Egbolom-1 well and delivering first oil within a remarkably short timeframe. Reflecting on this milestone, she stated:
“We reached technical first oil on April 27, 2024. We brought oil to the surface and immediately commenced the installation of early production equipment at our facility. We encountered several regulatory and community-related challenges, but through consistent engagement and transparent communication, we secured the necessary approvals.”
Under her leadership, Ingentia Energies also secured approval for its Field Development Plan (FDP) and achieved the historic conversion of Petroleum Prospecting Licence (PPL 202) to Petroleum Mining Lease (PML 66). This milestone made Ingentia the first company among the 2022 marginal field awardees to successfully convert its licence, securing a 20-year lease tenure from June 2025 to June 2045.
Mrs. Ajayi also demonstrated exceptional resourcefulness in overcoming funding constraints through innovative financing approaches and strategic partnerships, enabling the company to achieve critical operational objectives while maintaining efficiency and performance standards.
Beyond business achievements, she fostered a culture of unity, professionalism, and shared purpose, building a motivated workforce and strengthening relationships with employees, partners, regulators, and host communities.
Her tenure was defined by vision, integrity, resilience, and excellence. Through her leadership, Ingentia Energies established a strong operational and strategic foundation that positions the company for sustainable growth and long-term success in Nigeria’s upstream oil and gas sector.
The Board, management, and staff of Ingentia Energies Limited express profound appreciation to Mrs. Ajayi for her dedication, leadership, and enduring legacy. As the company enters its next phase under new leadership, it remains well-positioned to build on the momentum she created and continue delivering sustainable value to stakeholders while advancing its ambitions within Africa’s energy industry.
