We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Contract Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for analysing, developing, reviewing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial, legal, and analytical expertise with proven experience in upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review, analyse, and draft contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal frameworks.
  • Conduct risk assessments, highlighting contractual and commercial risks with mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor contract performance, compliance, and reporting, ensuring adherence to agreed terms.
  • Support negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and records throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Provide analytical insights to improve procurement, contract, and commercial strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tenders, bids, and proposals.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure contracts align with best practices, legal standards, and company objectives.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in contract analysis/contract management within the oil & gas, energy, or engineering sector.
  • At least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in upstream and downstream contract analysis.
  • Strong exposure to tendering, procurement, and commercial law.

 

Skills

  • Expertise in contract drafting, analysis, and negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management tools/software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
